ASME IX welding procedure and welder qualifications


Key content includes:
  • Introduction to articles 1-V of ASMEIX.
  • Welding documentation: WPS/PQR/WPQ.
  • Essential, supplementary and non-essential variables.
  • Qualification testing requirements.
  • Single and multiple process qualifications.

This 2-day course is designed to give engineers and technicians a working knowledge of ASME IX to enable them to ensure that welding documentation conforms to code requirements. It will be useful for staff with the responsibility of purchasing welding services or overseeing the work of welding contractors on their plant.
