Pipework Integrity: Practical Bolting & Jointing

 

An intensive 2-3 day practical training programme covering the theory and practice of bolted, flanged and screwed pipe joints.

Combined classroom and hands-on workshop training covering:

  • Joint integrity: the principles.
  • Pipework schedules and materials.
  • Gasket types/function/material/identification.
  • Bolting specifications/loadings/torque settings.
  • Making and breaking of flanged joints and covers.
  • Screwed joints: cutting and jointing.
  • Correct use of tools.
  • Pipe/flange/bolting codes and specifications.

The course is suitable for all maintenance engineers, technicians and fitters involved in the installation and maintenance of industrial pressure pipework. The course lecturer has many years experience with bolting/jointing training on petrochemical and industrial plants.
