Course PRV2: PRV inspection and testing - practical hands-on course Next courses:

This is a practical course combining classroom presentation with hands-on workshop training. Delegates are taught the principles of PRV design and operation, then take part in practical workshop exercises: stripping, reporting on condition, NDT, re-assembly and lift/leak testing of sample PRVs. Topics covered are shown in the schedule below.

The course will be useful for:
  • Inspection engineers/surveyors who specify, witness and assess the results of PRV inspections and tests.
  • Mechanical technicians who may be involved in the maintenance and inspection of PRVs.
  • Graduates and technical staff requiring practical engineering training.

Course location

This course is held at several workshop locations around the UK. In addition, all the equipment is design for truck transport and is transportable to client's premises for in-company courses as required.

Delegate numbers

Owing to the practical nature of the course, attendance is limited to a maximum of 8 delegates per course. The accompanying course textbook (provided) is 'The Quick Guide to Pressure Relief Valves', C. Matthews: 2004.
