Maximum delegates per course: 10
|
A 3-day 'how to do it' training course covering the basics of pressure vessel design.
Key content includes:
- Thin shell mechanics.
- How to apply design theory to shells, dished ends, nozzles and cones.
- Allowable stresses, design loads, joint efficiencies, local loads, wind loads.
- Hydraulic test, low temperature and fatigue design.
- PER ESR requirements explained.

The course explains the similarities and differences of the main vessel design codes EN13445, ASME V111-1 and PD5500. Common design rules and code content/appendices are explained in straightforward terms. Delegates will participate in step-by-step exercises showing how to design a pressure vessel.
The presenters
The course is presented by experienced engineers with current experience as pressure vessel designers in industry. They emphasise a practical, rather than an academic, approach to vessel design and have long experience of the manufacturing and use of vessels in industry.
